As the autumn chill sets in, Starbucks Japan reintroduces the fan-favorite Chocolate Mousse Latte, available from 30 September to 31 October. Enhanced by Espresso Roast, this limited-time beverage offers rich, nutty flavors and a chocolate mousse topping, perfect for cozying up this season.
The Beloved Chocolate Mousse Latte Returns, Now Enhanced with Rich Espresso and Autumnal Flavors
As autumn arrives and temperatures cool in Japan, Starbucks embraces the season with rich and luxurious autumnal beverages. Among them, the return of the beloved Chocolate Mousse Latte marks the shift in seasons, this time enhanced by Starbucks’ “Espresso Roast” espresso, known for its caramel-like sweetness and robust richness, adding even more depth to the flavor profile.
This indulgent latte offers a comforting warmth that will make you feel cozy and relaxed. Floppy chocolate mousse and a fragrant, nutty sweetness envelop the bold espresso. The star of the beverage, the mousse, boasts an airy texture that melts with each sip, providing extra depth to the coffee-forward drink. Accentuated by almond and hazelnut sauce, the latte encapsulates the essence of autumn.
Starbucks’ Coffee Ambassador Recommends Customizations to Elevate the Flavor of the Limited-Time Latte
Available both hot and iced, Starbucks promises the drink will "take you on an autumn coffee journey." The 18th 'Coffee Ambassador,' a prestigious title awarded to the top baristas in the company, Nobuki Shimoide, who triumphed in the 2023 Ambassador Cup from a field of 60,000 baristas, recommends two customizations for an enhanced experience.
With his expertise, Shimoide ensures that the nutty flavors are elevated by switching to almond milk for an additional 55 yen (US$0.38), creating a lingering aftertaste of nuts and chocolate. For chocolate lovers, Shimoide suggests adding a free pump of chocolate sauce, allowing the richness of the chocolate to spread across the palate from the first sip to the last.
Both customizations are eagerly anticipated. The drink, available at Starbucks stores nationwide, is a limited-time offering from 30 September to 31 October, starting at 589 yen (US$4.06). This is your chance to experience the essence of autumn in a cup but remember; it's only for a limited time!
