Unveiled in a Nintendo Direct livestream in 2021, this free-to-play battle royale shooter is a collaborative creation of Lucasfilm Games and Zynga. The game is set in the Star Wars timeline between the original trilogy and Episode 7: The Force Awakens. It promises a diverse roster of characters, from mercenaries to Rebel heroes and Imperial Stormtroopers, and is designed for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
Following a limited soft launch in select Asian countries, Zynga announced the deferral of the full release. This decision, shared via their Twitter account, is driven by the ambition to refine the game into a long-lasting and competitive battle arena, meeting the high expectations of Star Wars gaming fans.
