The latest Spider-Man PS4 update is finally here, and it comes with a brand new feature and an assortment of much-needed fixes and changes. The new feature is just the ability to invert the camera horizontally, but in a Spider-Man game, seeing the action in all angles is a welcomed thing. Photo mode is now amped up with a new Exposure setting and three new filters.
In a tweet, developer Insomniac Games claimed the other new features players want to see s on its radar. The studio also wrote that "There is more to come." Heres to hoping that this is a promise and one that they intend to keep.
The bug fixes include a new patch that resolves the issue of getting stuck inside the Empire State Building spire. The update also has aesthetic improvements to the Research Stations. The rest of the update generally improves the game's overall performance quality and stability, while it also fixes some UI and pop issues.

- The game could freeze on load of a save game.
- Players could get stuck inside the Empire State Building spire.
- Issues with Research Stations locking incorrectly.
- Problem with puzzles that would be locked out in the lab after investigating an audio recorder has been fixed
- Fixed a progression stopper when completing Demon Bases and quitting out at the end.
- Fixed a progression stopper when knocking Mr. Negative out of the arena during his boss fight.
- Fixed a progression stopper during point launch tutorial.
- Fixed various UI issues.
- Addressed various animation pop issues.
- Addressed various additional issues.
- Improved stability.
According to GameSpot, Spider-Man for PS4 sold 3.3 million copies within the first three days of release. Its record passes God of War (3.1 million copies in three days) PS4 sales record. The game scored 9/10 on GameSpot. A reviewer named Edmond Tran praised the creation of Insomniac.
