“South Park” season 23 episode 3 titled “SHOTS!!!” marks the show’s 300th episode at the Comedy Central channel. This milestone will be celebrated with special streaming of the episodes that will run all day long.

As stated in the press release for “South Park” season 23 episode 3, the producers are offering an all-day marathon for the fans. “In honor of the 300th episode of ‘South Park,’ Comedy Central will host an all-day series marathon starting at 9 a.m. ET/PT on Oct. 9.” It was added that fans will be able to watch all the new episodes of “South Park” season 23 via streaming on Hulu and South Park Studios a day after they aired.

The series’ brief history

“South Park” has been around for more than 22 years now, and it debuted on Aug. 13, 1997. The viewers were charmed with the characters of four foul-mouthed guys residing in the town of Colorado.

The creators continued to reinvent, and the story evolves and often tackles controversial issues and personalities. This means that although this is an animation featuring cute characters, it is not for kids due to its contents.

About this season’s third episode

“South Park” season 23 episode 3’s official synopsis as per South Park Studios reads: "This week, Randy revels in a Tegridy Farms milestone. Meanwhile, Cartman stands his ground and refuses to get a shot."

This episode will center on Eric Cartman, who is known to be selfish. At lunchtime, he tries to convince his classmates that getting vaccinations can be bad. He firmly stated his opposition against it while his classmates said that it is normal to get shots since they all need to get immunized. This episode may be referring to the controversial Dengvaxia vaccine, although it was not directly mentioned in the preview.

Prior to this episode, “South Park” got involved in controversy after Beijing barred the second episode titled “Band in China.” The Hollywood Reporter reported that the Chinese government deleted all clips, episodes, and discussions about the show as this episode referenced the country’s rules on censoring contents like banning “Winnie the Pooh.”

Meanwhile, “South Park” season 23 episode 3 is airing tonight at 9 p.m., and it will be streamed again, the next day on the previously mentioned streaming sites.
