“South Park” season 22 just closed a two-episode arc this on Wednesday. Then the show enters a mini hiatus next week before a fresh installment gets released.
The past couple of weeks have been a roller coaster ride for the characters of “South Park” season 22. The show realized it made an earlier mistake about Al Gore and the boys ended up in prison — all that while ManBearPig wreaked havoc over South Park.
After a very eventful two-part series, “South Park” season 22 will air its eighth episode on Nov. 28 instead of Nov. 14. At the moment, no details have been revealed yet about episode 8.
Meanwhile, the latest episodes of “South Park” season 22 had been substantial in building up the main villain of the current installment. The antagonist happens to be a very familiar character, the ManBearPig, which reports allude as the show's representation of climate change.
The ManBearPig was first introduced in the animated series in 2006 with Al Gore convincing the South Park people of its existence. But residents of South Park laughed it off and disregard all the warnings. All that had obviously changed, at least for Stan's group, in “South Park” season 22.
The two-part arc in began with several deaths in the South Park. Yates dismissed the dead bodies as a result of another school shooting and blamed Stan, Eric, Kenny, and Kyle for it. But the story in “South Park” season 22 escalate as ManBearPig killed more people at a fast pace — still many of the residents do not believe in the existence of the creature sent by the devil.
After 12 years, “South Park” season 22 revisits the premise of the introduction of the ManBearPig as the characters faced a major crisis. Unfortunately, it took them the return of ManBearPig and the death of several residents before residents before going back to Al Gore and ask for help.
As soon as it appeared that no one in South Park will believe that the killings are caused by ManBearBig, Stan and the other boys are forced to seek help from Al Gore. And this development goes down as one of the notable parts of “South Park” season 22. When not on hiatus, new episodes arrive on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.
