Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s divorce was finalized more than a month ago, but people are still talking about their split. It is just fortunate that although their split shocked their fans worldwide, their divorce proceedings were kept private so they parted ways without further hurting each other.
Also, while most divorce cases go on for months and even years to reach a final settlement, Joong Ki and Hye Kyo were able to complete theirs for just a month after it was filed by the actor in June. Plus, the final decision was said to have been handed down by the judge at the Seoul Family Court in just a matter of minutes, five minutes to be exact.
The effects of the divorce on their lives
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have separated quietly without revealing their thoughts on their split but surely they have been affected emotionally by this event in their lives. The actress was always pictured smiling during her promotional activities but no one can say if she’s really smiling inside as well.
As for the actor, he took a short break following his divorce and judging by how he lost weight; he suffered emotionally as well. It was also reported that he has been losing hair which is a sure sign of anxiety and even depression but he is coping.
How the actors are affected financially
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have successful careers but it was reported that the actor is taking a hit financially too. This is because he is losing advertising tie-ups after their divorce was made known to the public.
On the other hand, the actress was able to maintain all her endorsement deals and companies did not ask her to leave despite the divorce. It was said that the actor is affected more financially because he lost some projects for company or product advertisements. People believe that this happened to Joong Ki and not Hye Kyo because he was the one who filed for divorce.
