Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are officially divorced, and although they managed to keep their separation quiet, still, there were criticisms, and most of them were directed to the actress. Their split was also done in less than a month, and the two of them have made this possible by immediately agreeing on terms and did not even seek to split up their properties.
Also, both Joong Ki and Hye Kyo were honest enough to accept the fact that their marriage has failed, and they should let it go and move on with their lives. But then again, as mentioned, although it was a quick and not messy divorce, the two of them received backlash, but the actress was slammed more than her ex-husband.
The reason why Hye Kyo was bashed by the public
In South Korea, when a husband and wife split up, people expect them to be gloomy since it is a serious matter. Plus, since they are celebrities, they are expected to take a break for a while and refrain from appearing in public as they should be “mourning.”
But apparently, Song Hye Kyo does not think that this is right, so she continued to work and appear in promotional events, looking all glamorous, so she was slammed for this supposedly “unethical” attitude. The public saw her fully dressed up and smiling in events, and they said that she looks as if she does not care about her divorce at all, so she was criticized even more.
Moreover, people said that it is heartbreaking to see that the actress is not affected by her separation from Song Joong Ki while the actor was already so stressed out. In any case, Song Hye Kyo seems to just ignore the public opinion about her, and she just continues to do as she pleases.
Hye Kyo doesn’t mind the criticisms and chose to do what she wants
Not minding the hurtful comments anymore, Song Hye Kyo is moving on like Song Joong Ki. She also wants to improve her life, so she decided to go back to school too. She is taking a short break from her career to focus on a short art course. According to Allkpop, the “Descendants of the Sun” actress flew to New York and registered at an art school, but it was not divulged what exactly the course she enrolled in.
