‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 7, titled “Loco Parentis," is set to follow Ichabod and Diana as they go on a frantic search for Molly after she goes missing on her 11th birthday. Molly’s father will also be making an appearance in the upcoming episode.
The brief synopsis for episode 7 posted on TV Guide reads, “The return of Molly's father from duty just before her 11th birthday has Diana (Janina Gavankar) wondering if wants to be part of their daughter's life again.”
The promo hints at trouble to come for Diana and her young daughter Molly (Oona Yaffe). Diana is seen yelling for her daughter as she and Ichabod (Tom Mison) find themselves in a dark forest at night after Molly goes missing. It is revealed that a monstrous creature is hunting Molly down and that they must race to rescue her before things take a turn for the worst.
In one scene, Diana questions Crane about how a demon can possibly find her daughter. Ichabod draws out Molly’s drawing book in reply. He shows her the occult symbols drawn on the book’s white pages.
Diana then says, “She went looking for answers on her own.” Ichabod adds, “And in doing so she might have found a flair into the darkness.”
Molly is the daughter of Agent Diana Thomas and is considered a main character for season 4. She was first introduced in season 4’s episode 1, titled “Columbia,” wherein Ichabod and Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) struggled to move on with their lives following the death of Ichabod’s partner and Jenny’s sister, Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie).
Diana’s child is portrayed as a talented artist skilled in drawing. She sketched Ichabod without seeing him in person, hinting at a mysterious connection between her and the main protagonist.
According to Yahoo! News, Ichabod discovered that Molly is the next witness and that she took the mantle after Abbie passed away. Although Diana withheld Molly’s responsibility as the witness, she finally managed to tell her of her role in saving the world.
‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 7, titled “Loco Parentis," was written by Zoe Green and is scheduled to air on February 17, 2017 on Fox. It will be followed by episode 8, titled "Sick Burn," scheduled for February 24.
