CHANDLER, Ariz., May 02, 2018 -- SilverSneakers®, the nation’s leading community fitness program for older Americans, by Tivity Health (NASDAQ:TVTY), is now accepting nominations for the 14th annual SilverSneakers Swanson Award, presented to one member whose commitment to health and staying active encourages others to love life longer.

Now through May 13, 2018, members can nominate themselves or someone they know by submitting their inspiring story online at SilverSneakers.com/SwansonAward. Tivity Health will select the top 10 nominees and will share their stories on the SilverSneakers website. The national award recipient will be named based on the results of an open vote on SilverSneakers.com. Online voting will take place June 18-29, 2018, and the winner will be announced on July 2, 2018.
SilverSneakers is a free fitness program for seniors that comes with qualifying Medicare plans, giving members unlimited access to more than 14,000 participating locations across the country. With national reciprocity for every location in the national network, SilverSneakers members have the freedom to travel and not miss a workout. The program offers access to the location, including weights, cardio equipment, pools and other amenities, as well as group exercise classes led by certified SilverSneakers instructors.
