‘Samurai 8’ Chapter 9 release date: Is Ata going to kill Maru’s father?

“Samurai 8” Chapter 9 is set to have Ata arriving at Maru’s location, which hints that an imminent battle has reared its head on the horizon. It’s unclear, however, whether this confrontation will happen in the next entry.

After all, the story did hint at Maru’s dad worrying over him. This could be a foreshadowing that “Samurai 8” Chapter 9 might have Ata arrive at Maru’s home only to find his target missing.

Samurai 8 Chapter 9 might feature a heartbreaking event

In lieu of the young samurai, Ata might come across his father instead. This is worrying, especially with how the superhero universe sets up dead parents and the age-old plot of seeking vengeance. Add the fact that the entire series doesn’t have a sense of urgency to spur its hero to quickly master his training and “Samurai 8” Chapter 9 could prove to be one dark storyline.

Meanwhile, the power level between the heroes and villains has already been established. Where Maru was seen putting a crack at the guardian holder, Ata is currently barreling through space and nonchalantly cuts asteroids in half. And that’s just his clone. The real antagonist is somewhere with his princess, waiting for information to be delivered. If “Samurai 8” Chapter 9 doesn’t at least feature a few fight scenes here and there, it will probably be used as a set up for what’s comes next.

Samurai 8 Chapter 9 to rope in Samurai Mujin into an imminent fight?

And what’s coming doesn’t bode well for our hero. This is doubly true since Hagamichi has been portrayed as a samurai who is also far below Daruma’s power level. Does this mean that “Samurai 8” Chapter 9 might also hint at Samurai Mujin getting involved in the upcoming conflict as well? That remains to be seen.

Overall, the series has done a great job pacing the story although it could use a bit of speeding up given that there’s no overall sense of threat that is pushing Maru to take his training seriously. For comparison, this sense of urgency in “My Hero Academia” was established pretty early on in its storyline, providing readers an impending dark cloud that’s threatening to burst open at any moment. Hopefully, “Samurai 8” Chapter 9 will deliver on this regard when it drops on July 7.
