Samsung Electronics Co Ltd DRC (LON:0593xq) is rapidly regaining momentum as global demand for AI infrastructure and memory chips accelerates. According to recent analyst reports from Citi, Macquarie, and Morgan Stanley, Samsung stock could be entering a powerful growth cycle driven by surging DRAM and NAND prices, strong AI server demand, and expanding pricing power.
Citi Research significantly raised its 2026 outlook for memory pricing, increasing DRAM growth forecasts by 171% and NAND projections by 127%. This sharp upgrade reflects a tightening supply environment as chip buyers rush to secure inventory. With limited factory capacity and AI data center expansion consuming vast amounts of high-performance memory, the semiconductor market is experiencing what some analysts describe as a supply crunch.
Macquarie has labeled the current phase the “Inference Era,” where memory chips represent the key bottleneck in artificial intelligence development. Samsung’s competitive edge lies in its ability to expand fabrication capacity over the next several years, positioning the company as a dominant force in the global semiconductor industry. Analysts project that Samsung’s net profit could increase tenfold by 2028 if current pricing trends continue.
The company’s strong balance sheet and cash flow generation are also attracting investor attention. 2026 marks the end of a major shareholder return cycle, and expectations are rising for a substantial dividend payout. Macquarie estimates a potential ₩100 trillion distribution, equivalent to roughly ₩17,000 per share, which would represent a landmark return for long-term shareholders.
Morgan Stanley suggests Samsung could outperform major U.S. technology leaders, including Nvidia and Microsoft, as operating margins potentially expand to 35%–45%. With target prices climbing as high as ₩340,000, analysts believe the market is still underestimating Samsung’s long-term earnings power. As AI demand reshapes the tech landscape, Samsung Electronics appears positioned to transform from a hardware giant into a global cash-flow powerhouse.
