S. Korean travel agencies scramble to sell Southeast Asia tour packages
South Korean travel agencies are scrambling to sell tour packages of Southeast Asian countries that are welcoming fully-vaccinated foreign visitors without quarantine requirements.
Mode Tour released a new five-day, three-night tour package for Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island using chartered flights. The tour will be offered twice a week, from Dec. 25 to Feb. 26.
About 100 customers have already completed booking for the package.
Low-cost carrier Jin Air Co. plans to operate a charter plane service to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia twice a week, totaling 18 flights from Dec. 26 to Feb. 24.
Yellow Balloon Tour and Hana Tour plan to sell chartered flights to Phuket via Korean Air that will be available twice a week from Jan. 8 to Feb. 26.
Meanwhile, Kwon KRT is preparing to launch a chartered plane service to the Philippines' Bohol province that would be available during the Lunar New Year holidays.
