San Rafael, CA, Feb. 05, 2018 -- SafetyChain Software, the leading provider of food quality management software, is pleased to announce a new educational webinar and podcast series for the food industry - Beyond Compliance.
The Beyond Compliance series kicked off in January 2018 with a presentation on “FSMA, Technology & Audits” led by Sokol and Company’s Bridgette Krueger, Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance. Sokol and Company, a SafetyChain customer, was awarded SQF Practitioner of the Year in 2017. In February, SafetyChain will host Rod Wheeler of The Global Food Defense Institute, who will present a webinar on “Regulation vs. Reality: Bridging the FSMA Gap in Food Defense.” Other upcoming speakers in the series include Dr. David Acheson of The Acheson Group and Jeff Chilton of Alchemy Systems.
SafetyChain has had a strong history of providing valuable educational resources geared toward practitioners in the food and beverage community. FSMA Fridays, the long-running monthly webinar series co-presented by the Acheson Group and focused on the Food Safety Modernization Act, had its inception in May, 2013 and continues to go strong with over 3,000 registered participants and an active LinkedIn group.
“We at SafetyChain are really excited to introduce an additional resource for training and education for the food industry community.” commented Brian Sharp, SafetyChain’s VP Marketing. “We had an idea to create an educational series focused around strategy, trends, and tips to benefit food quality and safety professionals, regardless of vertical or industry or where a practitioner is in their career path. By bringing in thought leaders, consultants, and fellow practitioners to provide insight on top-of-mind quality and safety topics, our goal is that attendees will come away from each session with tangible, tactical takeaways to leverage within their organizations.”
The format of each Beyond Compliance session is a live webcast featuring a guest presenter with a topic on food quality, safety, or compliance. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during each webcast. By registering for each free session, attendees also gain access to follow-up materials including session recordings in video and podcast format.
