EverCharge Inc., the subsidiary of SK E&S Americas, is set to install electric vehicle chargers in the home stadium of the San Francisco Giants MLB team. This comes after the charging solution provider signed a supply deal with the Major League Baseball team.
SK E&S Co. said on Sunday, March 17, that its California-based affiliate will provide a large-scale EV charging facility to the MLB club this year. According to The Korea Economic Daily, the chargers will be installed at Oracle Park. This comes after the Giants signed a strategic partnership with EverCharge to set up charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at the stadium.
Benefits for SK E&S
SK E&S is a Korean firm that acquired EverCharge in 2022 through PassKey, a US-based investment firm. Korea’s Pax Economy TV reported that its deal with the San Francisco Giants encompasses design, installation, and maintenance.
By providing its products and services, the company expects promotional benefits once it installs its EV charging infrastructure at the iconic MLB stadium in the U.S. In any case, SK E&S was able to enter the US electric vehicle charging sector through its acquisition of EverCharge.
Eco-Friendly Charging Station at the Oracle Park
Korea’s Chosun Business reported that the Oracle Park stadium can accommodate around 30,000 people. In addition to baseball games, it is used for various events such as concerts and international conferences; thus, it attracts a large number of visitors all year round, which means more exposure for SK E&S’ EverCharge EV charging solutions.
Meanwhile, EverCharge and the MLB Giants plan to install eco-friendly EV charging stations at the site. This is to provide visitors with a safer way to recharge their EVs.
“EverCharge’s charging solutions are designed to maximize the use of charging infrastructure and enable efficient charging,” EverCharge’s senior vice president of sales, John Lin, said. “We are committed to providing a dynamic and eco-friendly transportation environment for Giants fans and the local community.”
