Even though Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were propelled to stardom by the “Twilight” film franchise, the two celebrities aren’t particularly fans of the story as a whole. The ex-couple have time and again expressed their dislike of being involved with films and were confused why people lauded the narrative, WMagazine reported.
It is for this reason that no “Twilight” film involving Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will ever happen if their past statements are anything to go by. For the stars, being involved with such a successful franchise came with a host of problems, especially for their careers.
Robert Pattison said that due to the films’ massive box office hit, it was difficult for him to get a serious role due to being attached to the “Twilight” saga. Kristen Stewart ran into the same dilemma after the vampire-werewolf teen movies concluded in 2012.
However, both celebrities did star in other films that needed realistic portrayals of people. For Robert Pattinson, “Good Times” is perhaps the film that really showcased the acting chops of the 32-year-old star. The film was dark throughout the whole story that puts audiences in a blender of panic and discomfort. Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, starred in “Lizzie,” which is also a dark film centered on the forbidden romance between two women.
It goes without saying that the two celebrities have worked hard in order to establish themselves a new persona in the entertainment industry. And while Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart did recently say that they are “willing” to star in another “Twilight” film, when it really comes to it, both actors will likely turn down the role. It’s highly possible that they don’t want to jeopardize their new image by revitalizing the public’s view of them being blood-sucking entities.
As for the celebrities’ personal life, they have since moved on from their failed relationship and is dating other people. Robert Pattinson is being linked with model-actress Suki Waterhouse after being spotted being intimate with each other in public. Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart’s romance with Stella Maxwell is still going strong after two years of being together.
