The synopsis for “Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill!" posted on TV Guide reads, “Valerie (Hayley Law) helps Archie (KJ Apa) prepare for his performance in the school's annual variety show, which doesn't sit well with Josie (Ashleigh Murray);
Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) investigation leads to a home for troubled youth and a face-to-face with Polly (Tiera Skovbye); Veronica's (Camila Mendes) improving relationship with her mother takes a hit after an unexpected betrayal.
Also, Josie deals with her own issues at home after her overbearing father returns to see her perform at the variety show; and Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) begins work at Andrew's (Luke Perry) Construction.”
The upcoming episode will follow Betty and Jughead as they continue their investigation over the death of Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines). They will quickly follow a lead that brings them straight to a troubled youth facility where they meet Betty’s older sister Polly Cooper.
According to Christian Post, Betty and Jughead will inadvertently stumble on some valuable evidence that could possibly unmask the perpetrator behind the heinous crime.
Meanwhile, Archie will soon find himself in the middle of trouble between Josie and Valerie when the latter decides to help Archie with his performance for an annual variety show hosted by Riverdale High. Josie’s personal problems will intensify because of her troubled home life as well, especially after her father returns to see her perform at the school event.
The promo opens to Archie on stage with his guitar, ready to perform in front of an audience, but he is suddenly overtaken by anxiety and can’t seem to get himself to start. In the next scene, Betty tells Jughead, “There’s gotta be a reason why my mom and dad don’t want me to see Polly.”
Meanwhile, Josie confronts Valerie saying, “Did you want to say something to me?” Valerie takes off her cat ears hairpiece and declares, “I quit.” It seems that there is trouble ahead for the members of Josie and the Pussycats.
By the end of the promo, Betty tearfully asks her father Hal (Lochlyn Munro) if he was the one who killed Jason. More secrets are bound to be unveiled in the upcoming episode.
