“Rick and Morty” season 4 is really anticipated now that Adult Swim recently announced when it would premiere. It has been almost two years since the third season concluded in October 2017 and fans just can’t wait to see what is next when scientist Rick and his grandson Morty are coming back for another sci-fi adventure.
“Rick and Morty” season 4 was announced in May 2018, and back then, the series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon revealed that they received an order of 70 episodes and of course these will be divided into several seasons so the show will go for a long time even after the fourth installment airs.
Episodes and premiere date
On May 15, the premiere date was unveiled although Adult Swim did not mention a specific day. “Rick and Morty” season 4 is finally coming in November, and it is predicted to offer a total of 10 episodes. With the advance orders, Roiland said that this would allow them to “move a little quicker" so there will be no more lengthy hiatus that entails really long waiting time.
"We're not going to have these big, long gaps between seasons,” Roiland told Gamespot last year. “We're going to just keep the machine going and schedule staggering vacations for people so we don't burn out. It's going to just be a perpetual production which is exciting."
Adult Swim Festival launch
What to expect in “Rick and Morty” season 4 in terms of the story or plot is still vague as neither Adult Swim nor the show’s creators have shared anything about it. However, there were suggestions that it could feature the ID3 or third interdimensional cable storyline since this was previously mentioned in a tweet. But then, there was no confirmation about this yet.
Now, fans will be able to see sneak peek for “Rick and Morty” season 4 as Adult Swim will debut the show in the upcoming 2019 Adult Swim Festival in Los Angeles. Fans were teased that they will also get to see never before seen clips of the fourth season. The event is set to take place on Nov. 16.
Based on the post on Twitter, aside from preview of “Rick and Morty” season 4, there will be a meet and greet with the popular animator Genndy Tartakovsky plus performances by Lil Nas X, Dethklok, Vince Staples, Jamie xx, Young Thug, Tierra Whack, Captain Murphy, The Eric Andre Show Live! and more.
