The long wait for “Rick and Morty” season 4 is now finally down to just a few months. That is not a drill — it is a confirmed fact. The highly popular animated series is slated to return in November. Though producers have yet to specify the schedule of its premiere, recent reports might help in narrowing down the possibilities.
‘Rick and Morty’ season 4 release date: Will it be in mid-November?
The show did not have a recurring release date window since it started in 2015. But the one fact known at this point is that “Rick and Morty” season 4 will premiere in November. Season 1 started on a Monday (Dec. 2, 2013), season 2 premiered on a Sunday (July 26, 2015), and season 3 was released on a Saturday (April 1, 2017).
With more than two years of hiatus and support from some of the biggest stars in film and music industry, it is safe to say that more fans are waiting for “Rick and Morty” season 4. So it would make sense if Adult Swim assigns it a premiere date on a weekend.
In late June, it was reported that the lucky fans attending the Adult Swim Festival on Nov. 15-16 in Los Angeles, California have a chance to watch a full episode of “Rick and Morty” season 4 on day 2. It would then make sense for the series to air on Adult Swim’s network after that since the screening is billed to feature a “never-before-seen” content.
That leads to the speculation that “Rick and Morty” season 4 might premiere a day after that screening. That is going to be on Sunday, Nov. 17. But take this one with a pinch of salt until Adult Swim makes the formal announcement.
‘Rick and Morty’ season 4 spoilers, cast: Star-studded season ahead
The animated series created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have garnered a huge following over the years, especially after getting several shout-outs from the likes of Kanye West. The show already had several notable cameo appearances through the years, but “Rick and Morty” season 4 is looking to top all that.
The first-ever “Rick and Morty” season 4 teaser trailer featured an alien character voiced by “Thor: Ragnarok” director and voice actor Taika Waititi. It was also confirmed that “Game of Thrones” star Liam Cunningham is going to be part of the show. Harmon previously confirmed they would dedicate an episode to West while they also issued an open invitation for “Harry Potter” alum Daniel Radcliffe to join them in the writers’ room.
