“Since our inaugural event in 2014, the Retail Innovation Conference has sought to expand Retail TouchPoints’ mission to empower and connect the retail world,” said Debbie Hauss, Editor-in-Chief of Retail TouchPoints. “As interest and attendance increases each year, we have decided to open registration and offer special pricing for those interested in booking early.”
Other newsworthy highlights of the event include:
- New Location
Taking place at a new location, the Convene event space on 46th St., #RIC18 will now be able to accommodate a larger audience, while still maintaining a welcoming and intimate setting that encourages one-to-one conversations and networking. Centrally located in New York City, Convene offers convenient access to public transportation and the best restaurants and entertainment.
- Store Tours
The unofficial kick-off to #RIC18 will be the unique Store Tours event, scheduled for Monday, April 30 at The Shops At Columbus Circle, in the Time Warner Center. Executives representing the stores on the tour will shed light on the successful customer engagement, marketing and technology strategies driving success for their brands. Registration will be limited, so sign up for #RIC18 early to secure a seat.
- Retail Innovator Awards
The Retail Innovation Conference also will host the 5th annual Retail Innovator Awards (RIA), a program created to honor individuals who are contributing to the broader evolution of retail, and who have ignited innovation and positive disruption within their own organizations and throughout the entire industry. As part of the Retail Innovation Conference, the awards provide an opportunity for attendees to get an in-depth look at how their peers have inspired change and improvement within the retail world. A selection of 2017 winners included Moosejaw’s Dan Pingree, Walmart’s Jason Morris, Under Armour’s Sid Jatia, Fabletics’ Gregg Throgmartin and many more.
Professionals interested in submitting an RIA nomination can visit the 2018 Retail Innovator Awards Nominations page to nominate themselves or a colleague now through February 1, 2018.
- Speakers
This year’s speakers will include leading industry analysts, executives, authors and thought leaders. The initial #RIC18 speaker lineup is set, featuring executives from West Elm, Crocs, Rebecca Minkoff, Sleep Number and more.
