The synopsis for “Pulling Strings” posted on TV Guide reads, “Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Darnley (Will Kemp) wed in a lavish affair, which proves to be a successful decision in regard to her political standing.
Meanwhile, James (Dan Jeannotte) makes an interesting discovery about Greer (Celina Sinden); and Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) frantically tries to salvage England's power.”
The upcoming episode is set to feature Mary’s grand wedding with Darnley as well as her strengthened political standing with the people. In the promo, Catherine offers Mary some strong advice as the two women sit together in private. Catherine warns the young queen, “Protect your crown at all cost.” The promo also hints that Darnely will get himself in trouble to which Catherine tells Mary as they walk the village streets, “You just say the word. Darnely will be left in a dark cloud of shame.”
