Each year, the race serves as an important fundraiser for two local not-for-profits, designated as the race’s Charities of Choice. This year, participants will be raising funds for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and the Albany Public Library Foundation. Teams and individuals are encouraged to make contributions at the time of registration.
Are You Up to the Challenge?
New this year, media sponsor B95.5 is inviting teams to participate in a pre-race fundraising challenge. The team that raises the most funds for the Charities of Choice will receive special race-day recognition, an on-air interview, and mentions in our race-day press release and social media posts.
The event is organized by and serves as an important fundraiser for the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC). In addition to raising funds for local charities, the race also helps to fund HMRRCs college scholarships, grants, and free race programs for local youth.
