Reebok has joined forces with Futureverse to innovate fashion by bringing wearables to the Metaverse. American footwear and clothing brands have become the latest to jump into the virtual space for engagement.
With its move to get into the Metaverse, Reebok follows Adidas, Nike, and Puma, all of which have created their spaces in the digital world. XRToday reported that the company will turn to the Metaverse to offer more opportunities for customers to interact and know more about its product lineup - from footwear to various apparel.
Official Launch of Reebok Into the Metaverse
Its partnership with Futureverse will start its adventure into the digital world. Reebok also said that this is only the beginning of their long-term collaboration. They will take the next step to deepen the alliance by adding more activities, such as introducing more functionalities, expanding experiences, and new integrations.
Next year, the footwear company will kickstart its Metaverse business through the premiere of "Reebok Impact." This is the company's digital footwear and fashion experience that aims to develop a "mind and heart-bending" digital experience for customers.
Banking on Blockchain for Strengthening Market Presence
Reebok will take advantage of the broad reach of the Metaverse to bring its brand to more consumers and markets. Futureverse also committed to increasing customer interactions with Reebok's apparel products in 2024 using AI and other blockchain-based technologies to expand their presence and make it as impactful as in the real world, as per NFTPlazas.
"Reebok is deeply entrenched in consumer trends and transformative technology. Our ethos champions the principle of moving with purpose and stepping out into the world as a participant, not a spectator," Reebok's chief executive officer, Todd Krinsky, said in a press release. "At the heart of our brand is our vibrant community and our efforts to weave their unique stories into the fabric of our products."
It added, "Our partnership with Futureverse and the upcoming launch of Reebok Impact enables us to transcend traditional boundaries of innovation to engage our consumers in the digital evolution of our products in ways that redefine the realm of possibility."
