“RedSky is excited to team with Yealink to bring next generation E911 technology to the market,” said Tony Maier, CEO of RedSky. “Together we are delivering the future of E911 mobility tracking for enterprises served by the BroadSoft Business Suite.”
Horizon Mobility™ is a commercial implementation of the NENA i3 Next Generation 9-1-1 architecture. The technology enables a phone to request its location when it moves and enables the phone to send its location when the phone dials 9-1-1. The technology is SIP-based and it integrates with RedSky’s E911 Anywhere® cloud service which can accept and route 9-1-1 calls to any 9-1-1 center in the USA and Canada.
The Yealink IP Phone is backed by SIP technology. Yealink’s Entry-level T2 series, Business-grade T4 series, and Business media phone T52S and T54S provide a complete product portfolio which could satisfy diverse usage scenarios and customer needs. Integrated with RedSky’s Horizon Mobility™ solution, the Yealink IP Phone will automatically acquire the location ID once plugged in and send the location ID when dialing 9-1-1.
“Yealink is amazed at RedSky’s Horizon Mobility™ and feels delighted to complete interoperability with it on the BroadWorks® platform. This integration broadens applicable scenarios of our products and strengthens customers’ competitiveness,” said Stone Lu, Yealink’s Vice President. “While dedicating itself to innovating the UC communication product portfolios, Yealink also seeks mutual improvement with correspondent industry leaders to provide users with more diverse solutions."
“By leveraging BroadSoft Business platforms and solutions, both RedSky and Yealink have demonstrated their commitment to reinventing how people work,” said Taher Behbehani, chief digital and marketing officer, BroadSoft. “We’re thrilled to welcome this innovative solution into our growing user environment, and eager to see the reception of this announcement at Connections.”
