With “Red Dead Redemption 2” slated to hit the shelves on Oct. 26, now may be the right time to reserve a copy of the game. So what are the bonuses available to those who pre-order?
As noted by Rockstar Games, all pre-orders of “Red Dead Redemption 2” will include a War Horse and the Outlaw Survival Kit. Gamers who have played the first game should already be familiar with the War Horse and its speed and stamina advantage over an average horse. Meanwhile, the Outlaw Survival Kit features a collection of key supplies including items to replenish Dead Eye and health.
Gamers who pre-order “Red Dead Redemption 2” digitally on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store will also receive a cash bonus for the game’s story mode. Furthermore, all digital pre-orders will receive a cash bonus of “GTA Online” currency.
Bonuses for those who pre-order the Special Edition of “Red Dead Redemption 2” includes an exclusive Bank Robbery mission and Gang Hideout in the game’s story mode, a dappled black thoroughbred, talisman and medallion bonuses, the Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger outfit, additional weapons, and exclusive story mode boosts, bonuses and discounts.
Meanwhile, those who pre-order the “Red Dead Redemption 2” Ultimate Edition will get all the story mode content from the Special Edition plus additional bonuses for the online mode such as the Blackrose Bounty Hunter outfit, the Copperhead Enforcer outfit, a black chestnut thoroughbred, access to the Survivor Camp theme, additional weapons, and rank bonuses.
A Collector’s Box edition of “Red Dead Redemption 2” is available as well and it includes a metal tithing box with lock and key, a collectable challenge coin, a double-sided puzzle, a six shooter bandana, a treasure map, a pin set, playing cards, a Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue, and 12 cigarettes cards.
Aside from the Microsoft Store, the PlayStation Store, and the Rockstar Warehouse, gamers in the U.S. can also pre-order a copy of “Red Dead Redemption 2” at Walmart, GameStop, and Best Buy. Meanwhile, shoppers in the U.K. can pre-order at the following retail outlets: Amazon, GAME, Argos, ShopTo, HMV, and Currys.
