The next season of “Rainbow Six Siege” year 6 is about to start, but before that happens fans will have to tune in on the official reveal of the next operation. In a few days, Ubisoft will also reveal the abilities of the newest Operator, who will be known as “Thunderbird.”
‘Rainbow Six Siege’ operator: Who is Thunderbird?
Ubisoft unveiled a brief teaser for the next phase of “Rainbow Six Siege” year 6 featuring the next Operator to join Rainbow. The new character, Specialist Mina “Thunderbird” Sky, appears to be quite close with Nomad judging from this letter to Harry.
Many details can be extracted from the said letter about Thunderbird, including her healing abilities that even allowed her to save Nomad’s life once. “Her healing tech has come a long way since I first saw it. What impresses me most is the distribution method,” Nomad wrote. With that, it is very likely that Thunderbird’s healing tech will be one of the highlights of the full reveal this weekend.
Thunderbird hails from the Nakoda Territories, who is also an expert in hydrology, which she pursued because of her goal to help in preserving indigenous peoples’ communities and traditions. As Nomad mentioned, the incoming “Rainbow Six Siege” Operator is knowledgeable on water storage, wastewater, and river management. But how this background will mesh with Thunderbird’s healing abilities is still unknown.
Where to watch the ‘Rainbow Six Siege - North Star’ reveal
The North Star operation is an even bigger mystery than Thunderbird at this point. Making it even more curious is the fact that Thunderbird is also a skilled helicopter pilot. In the latest 27-second teaser for “Rainbow Six Siege,” Thunderbird appears very confident in flying. And in Nomad’s letter, she described the next Operator as a pilot who takes risks but is calculated. These details have led to speculations that the next operation might include some heavy scenes and combat from the sky.
Fans will know for sure once the “Rainbow Six Siege” North Star is fully revealed. The new operation and new Operator will be presented in an online stream through the game’s official Twitch channel on Sunday, May 23, at 10 a.m. EDT.
