Tesla Cyberquad bike for kids is being relaunched after it was recalled for safety reasons. The all-electric four-wheel ride is returning to the market after upgrade works and a revised warning label on the product that will also be sold by the Radio Flyer toy company.
Radio Flyer and Tesla teamed up to introduce the new Model 915 Cyberquad for Kids. The companies said on Tuesday, Nov. 14, that customers may also buy the electric bikes from Tesla’s online store.
The Revisions and Added Safety Notes
As per Teslarati, Tesla and Radio Flyer added new notes on the Cyberquad’s tags and indicated that while it is for kids, it is “not a Youth ATV.” They also stressed a warning that the ride is not to be used on off-road tracks.
The firms included these warnings on the label after the Tesla Cyberquad Model 914 was banned for its failure to comply with the ATV standards for youths - set by the U.S. Consumer Safety Product Commission (CSPC).
"We are thrilled to announce the official relaunch of the Cyberquad for Kids by Radio Flyer, a product we have been working to enhance for the last two years," chief wagon officer of Radio Flyer, Robert Pasin, said in a press release. "Our award-winning product development team has worked closely with the Tesla Design Studio to update this new model, which we know has been highly anticipated by our customers.”
It added, “At Radio Flyer, we take pride in delivering safe and innovative products that spark imaginative play, and we can't wait to see kids enjoying the new Model 915 Cyberquad out in their communities."
