‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 17, titled “ODYOKE,” will follow Alex and Owen as they race against time to hunt down an assassin. Meanwhile, one of Alex’s friends is framed for inciting a domestic terror attack timed with a vote on a Muslim registry bill.
The synopsis for episode 17 posted on TV Guide reads, “One of Alex's (Priyanka Chopra) friends is framed for a domestic terror attack that was timed to coincide with a vote in the House on a Muslim registry bill. The collaborators, meanwhile, are actively stirring fear to pass the registry; and Alex and Owen (Blair Underwood) hunt an assassin.”
According to Cartermatt, Alex and the rest of the team will have to work together to uncover a threat who has framed one of her friends in the wake of a domestic terror attack. The task force will realize that the attack was not coincidental since it was timed with an upcoming vote in the House for a Muslim registry bill. It seems that collaborators are actively instilling fear in people in order to pass the registry and the task force will be getting to the bottom of the issue.
According to Christian Today, Alex’s friend, Raina (Yasmine Al Massri), will be the one framed for the terror attack. In the promo, the team watches news unfold of a domestic terrorist attack on American soil. It was then revealed that the attack was aimed to push Congress to pass the Muslim registry vote. It is also hinted that the enemy may be more powerful that initially anticipated.
The upcoming episode will also follow Alex and Owen as they track down an assassin.
Meanwhile, showrunner Joshua Safran addressed Russell Tovey’s departure from the drama-thriller series during an interview with TVLine. Safran said, “It is definitely sad to lose Russell, momentarily at least… Or maybe forever in the Quantico universe. But yes, this is an exit.”
Tovey’s Harry Doyle was introduced in season 2’s premiere episode, titled “KUDOVE.” He was a former MI-6 agent and a former CIA recruit, who was eventually given a spot in the Presidential Covert Joint Task Force. Harry was last seen contacting Alex about leaving the CIA-FBI merged task force only because David Lim’s Sebastian Chen had a gun on him.
‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 17, titled “ODYOKE,” is scheduled to air on ABC on April 10, 2017. It was directed by Steve Robin and written by Jordon Nardino. It will be followed by episode 18, titled “KUMONK,” scheduled to be released on April 17 and directed by David McWhirter.
