Pringles is said to be joining in the fried chicken sandwich wars after it signed a deal with Wendy’s. It is a potato chip brand currently owned by Kellog’s so it can be said that the chicken sandwich wars are entering into a whole new level.

A new flavor to pop in stores

Pringles is getting hitched into the sandwich wars by presenting a new flavor after teaming up with the burger fast-food chain, Wendy’s. Through the partnership, the world-famous stackable potato chip was able to produce a new taste.

The chip brand based its latest addition to the line of its flavors on Wendy’s chicken sandwich. The resulting product is called the Pringles Wendy’s spicy chicken.

As per CNN Business, this potato chip was able to mix the spicy spice blend in the fast-food’s chicken sandwich and infused it to the perfectly crunchy pieces of potato chips in every canister. Every bite will be hot but will provide customers with a flavorful taste of the spicy chicken sandwich.

Availability of the new Pringles flavor

It was reported that the Pringle Wendy’s spicy chicken will be in stores in June. Customers, especially those who love this potato chip brand, should grab a pack as soon as it hit the shelves because it will only be available for a limited time.

What’s more, since this was made possible after a team-up with Wendy’s, people who will buy this new Pringles flavor will also get a code for a free spicy chicken sandwich that they can redeem at the restaurants through the fast-food chain’s app.

"Our partnership with Wendy's is a match made in flavor-heaven so we are thrilled to have another collaboration with an equally talked about, fan-favorite menu item," Pringles' senior marketing director, Gareth Maguire, said in a press release. "Following the enthusiasm for Pringles Baconator, we knew we had to challenge ourselves and perfectly capture the flavor of another popular menu item.”

As mentioned by Maguire, this is not the first collaboration of Wendy’s and Pringles. The first time was well-received when Pringles released its Wendy’s Baconator flavor thus this is a follow-up to a successful earlier partnership.
