‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7’s episode 11, titled “Playtime,” is set to follow Spencer as she learns more connections with her biological mother, Mary Drake. Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra may be facing an uncertain future together, considering that Nicole was revealed to be alive.
The lengthy synopsis for “Playtime” posted on TV Guide reads, “Spencer (Troian Bellisario) learns more about her connection to Mary Drake (Andrea Parker); Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) ponder their future with Nicole (Rebecca Breeds) back in the picture;
Mona (Janel Parrish) helps Hanna (Ashley Benson) get her fashion career back on track; and Emily (Shay Mitchell) struggles to balance things between Ali and Paige (Lindsay Shaw). Meanwhile, A.D. has a special delivery for the ladies that reveals the final endgame.”
The promotional photographs for episode 11 posted on Wet Paint show the girls preparing to open the massive gift box that was sent to them at the end of the season’s winter finale. They look apprehensive as they stare at the present.
The photographs also reveal that Spence is alive and well even after being shot in the episode “The Darkest Knight.” Mary Drake revealed herself to be Spencer’s biological mother in the previous episode, and it was hinted in the synopsis that Spencer will discover more of their connections in the upcoming episode.
Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra will have a lot of thinking to do about their future together, considering the return of Nicole. It was also revealed in the photographs that Aria’s good friend, Holden (Shane Coffey), will be back and the two look like they’re about to have a fun reunion.
‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7’s episode 11, titled “Playtime,” is scheduled to air on Freeform on April 18, 2017. It was directed by Chad Lowe and written by Allyson Nelson and Joseph Dougherty. It will be followed by episode 12, titled "These Boots Were Made for Stalking," directed by Ron Lagomarsino and scheduled to air on April 25.
