‘Pretty Little Liars’ is scheduled to return for a seventh season in June. The first episode, entitled “Tick-Tock, Bitches” will follow the girls as they race against time to save their friend Hanna from an imminent death.
In a season 7 promo posted on Inquisitr, a series of thrilling events will unfold including a possible murder-mystery involving the fourth member of the Liars, Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson). The question of Hanna’s survival remains. The film’s synopsis reads, “The PLLs are racing against the clock to save one of their own. The only way to do this is by handing over evidence of Charlotte’s murderer to Uber A.”
Towards the end of the teaser, a blonde woman is seen lifelessly suspended in a tangle of rope but it is not known whether it is indeed Hanna. Season 6’s cliffhanger showed Hanna’s limp body dragged by a yet unknown perpetrator at a church.
Meanwhile, another article on Melty revealed that Jenna Marshall (Tammin Sursok) is returning to The Radley but her motives remain unclear. It is likely that she may be out to cause trouble for the Liars, who she was never fond of from the start.
Jenna’s long-time rivalry with the girls began with Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse), the group’s leader and former Queen Bee before her disappearance. Alison asked Jenna to join the Liars when the latter became quite popular in Rosewood High School but Jenna declined. Later, prank gone horribly wrong orchestrated by Alison and her friends eventually caused Jenna to go blind.
Season 7 may turn out to be the biggest one yet with events unfolding at a much quicker pace since it may be the final season for the television show. Questions about A.D.’s real identity might finally be answered. It was also speculated that if Hanna does die, more members of the Liars will follow suit in the end.
‘Pretty Little Liars’ is a teen drama and mystery-thriller television show loosely based on the book series of the same name authored by Sara Shepard. It follows four teenagers – Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily – as their group falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison.
Season 7 is scheduled to debut its first episode on June 21, 2016.
