“Power” season 6 is finally coming soon. The sixth installment was confirmed in March last year, and the production was carried out afterward. Now, Starz announced that it would be the show’s final run which means the series already reached its end.
“Power” season 6 was aptly titled “The Final Betrayal,” and Starz’s chief of programming Carmi Zlotnik said that this would officially end the first chapter of the story. She assured the fans that as the drama closes a chapter, another one has opened and she is referring to the show’s upcoming spinoff.
“Season 6 brings us to the end of what we know is just the first chapter of the ‘Power’ story,” The Hollywood Reporter quoted Zlotnik as saying. “However, as one chapter comes to an end, another will begin. Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent have created a world rich with complex and dynamic characters, and there are a number of stories we plan to tell as we continue to explore and expand the Power universe.”
What Will Happen in “Power” Season 6?
Co-producer and director Courtney Kemp revealed that more characters could die in the final season of the action drama. The director further said that they will explore the lives of the characters more and develop them to something unexpected.
“We will follow some of your beloved ‘Power’ characters beyond the scope of the initial series,” Kemp said in a statement via Deadline. “But we will play with your expectations of which characters, where, and the master timeline of it all, creating a ‘Power’ universe as unpredictable as the original.”
Cast
“Power” season 6 will feature its main characters including Ghost (Omari Hardwick), Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Tasha (Naturi Naughton). Evan Handler was also confirmed have joined as a regular cast member and would play Jacob Warner, a lawyer.
Moreover, Mike Dupod (Jason Micic), Monique Gabriela Curnen (Blanca Rodriguez) and Patricia Kalember Gerroll will all be in “Power” season 6 as well. The latter will act as Tommy’s mother.
Air Date
“Power” season 6 is arriving on Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. on Starz. The last season is ending with 15 episodes in all so a December finale is expected.
