PlayStation 5 is the most anticipated console this year. Gamers have been interested in it since last year since it was promised that this could be the most innovative and best gaming console to come so far.
Sony already released few details about PlayStation 5 so the fans already have an idea about what this latest console can offer. The specs, accessories and release date window have been posted on PlayStation’s website, however, the exact detail about the release date and price has yet to be revealed.
Due to the lack of updates with regards to the two mentioned information, speculations and rumors started to go around. Some even claim that they have the accurate details, allegedly obtained from a reliable source, so they call these leaked infos.
Release date and price point of PS5
Based on what was posted on PlayStation’s blogsite, PS5 is set to be unveiled this coming holiday season. There was no exact date yet up to now so fans are just waiting for the official announcement of the exact date. This means though that it may be out between the months of October to December.
As for the price of PlayStation 5, this detail is also unclear and various sites have been releasing different introductory price point. It was also reported that Sony will only release a limited number of PS5 consoles due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some say that PlayStation 5 will be sold at $499 and in June Amazon UK posted the price tag of £599.99 or about US$765 but the company took down the post later. As per IGN, the spokesperson of Amazon said that it was an error on their part. Thus, the real price is still unknown.
Where to register for pre-orders of the PS5 console
CNet listed the outlets where gamers can register their names for pre-order of the PlayStation 5 console. Firstly, it mentioned Amazon and people can also avail of the unit’s accessories here like the DualSense controllers’ charging station, HD camera and Pulse 3D wireless headset.
Fans can also go to Walmart and place a pre-order request for PlayStation 5. Best Buy, Target and GameStop are the other outlets where gamers can register their names to order in advance. Doing this will make sure that they will get their hands on the much-awaited console. Of course, interested parties should register to these sites first to get notifications on when the items would be available.
