News about Pauley Perrette’s career is still scarce at the moment as the actress doesn’t seem all that interested in pursuing new projects. Her last role was playing “NCIS” character Abbey Sciuto, which she left behind after being with the show for 15 years.

Until now, nobody really knows what made Pauley Perrette leave “NCIS.” The actress previously said that she parted in good terms with those involved with the police procedural. Judging by her past Tweets, however, it was anything but peaceful, CountryLiving reported.

“Maybe I’m wrong for not ‘spilling the beans,’” Pauley Perrette twitted last year. “Telling the story, THE TRUTH. I feel I have to protect my crew, jobs and so many people. But at what cost? I don’t know. Just know, I’m trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn’t the right thing about crime. I’m... Just... ?”

But even though this is the case, Pauley Perrette is still friends with most of the cast of “NCIS.” Among them is Michael Weatherly who played special agent Anthony DiNozzo. It can be recalled that when Weatherly was accused of sexual harassment on the set of the series, Perrette didn’t hesitate to come in the defense of the actor.

For his part, Weatherly said that Pauley Perrette will undoubtedly be back on screen and will be “funnier” than ever. So far, however, the actress hasn’t revealed what’s next for her as an actress. There is also no news regarding upcoming films and TV shows that are interested in hiring Perrette.

As for how “NCIS” is doing, the police procedural recently made headlines on the web when it revealed that Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) is actually alive. This led fans to speculate that the character may be returning to the series at some point in the future. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that the same thing can be said to Pauley Perrette and her character given how everything unfolded following her departure.
