“Outlander” Season 4 is already well on its way to melting fans’ hearts with a strong premiere episode and even more promising events through the season. However, it would appear that filming is not completely done yet with some last minute production activities related to the finale. Does this signal some changes or just typical TV complications?
In a recent Tweet by Young Ian Murray actor, John Bell, it was revealed that the folks behind “Outlander” Season 4 had to do some finishing touches to the season’s finale. It would appear that it’s going to be an exciting one, though, this is based only on what the caption reads.

“ADR today, putting the finishing touches to the season 4 finale! Ladies and gentlemen it’s looking awesome...,” the caption reads.
As to what the details of the finishes touches are, some clarifications are still needed. However, the fact that this needed to happen is a big deal since the season finale for “Outlander” Season 4 is being hyped as the show’s most epic yet. With regards to what ADR even means, CarterMatt generously provided an explanation, noting that it’s basically where actors come back in for a recording or a re-recording of dialogue.
A lot of things happen during production and there are many times when actors who are off-screen are needed to come back for another round of recording. This could be due to equipment failure or just a mistake on the production crew. In any case, this is what happened regarding the “Outlander” Season 4 finale.
On that note, it’s more than likely that the “Outlander” Season 4 finale will still stick with what the books depict. As such, readers will already know what to look forward to once the curtains for this season fall. For those who only watch the series, though, there are plenty of surprises waiting for them.
