“Outlander” season 4 has released a few BTS photos to tease fans a bit. The latest promo pictures feature Jamie Fraser, Claire Fraser, Brianna, and Roger.
According to Claire and Jaime, the new images are probably scenes from the pilot episode of “Outlander” season 4. Although more photos show the lead stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, there are also interesting snaps of Brianna Randall Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin).
The images show Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe’s characters building their new home in a new land. They are starting a new life but still, there are conflicts to face. In fact, one photo shows Jamie pointing a gun at someone.
The trailer was released more than a week ago and fans can see the Frasers looking happy as they finally get to settle and live together as husband and wife. The couple is building their home and having a peaceful life; however, it is hinted that it will not be long when chaos will strike again.
Also, the video offers a glimpse of Brianna, Jamie and Claire’s grown-up daughter. She will time-travel and leave her life in 1960 in order to warn her parents about impending danger.
Briana has a boyfriend named Roger Mackenzie and it seems that he will follow his love and take a trip through the Standing Stones. Then again, there is also a chance that they will be separated forever as Briana departs from her time.
New Cast Additions
Deadline reported that Maria Doyle Kennedy and Ed Speleers were added to the cast of “Outlander” season 4 to play key roles. The former will be Jamie’s aunt named Jocasta Cameron while the later will be “a pure psychopath” villain known as Stephen Bonnet. Sam Heughan has commented that the new enemy will really be nasty.
"It's hard to top Black Jack but we have with Bonnet. Ed Speleers committed to this. People are going to hate him,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “He's so charming, so you kind of like him, but you find out later down the line that he does some really terrible things. He's a great new villain."
Apart from Kennedy and Speleers, Billy Boyd (Gerald Forbes), Caitlin O’Ryan (Lizzie Wemyss), Natalie Simpson (Phaedre), Tim Downie (Governor William Tryon) and Simona Brown (Gayle) have also joined the lineup.
Finally, “Outlander” season 4 premieres on Nov. 4 and it will run with 13 episodes. The story is based on Diana Gabaldon’s fourth novel in the Outlander series titled “Drums of Autumn” and it will continue Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan’s romantic adventure as Jamie and Claire.
