‘Outlander’ Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers: Caitriona Balfe Reveals Plot Twist; Major Highlights, New Villain to Expect

Outlander

“Outlander” season 4 is coming up and many surprising details are being revealed prior to its premiere. Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser) is one of the people who shared some updates regarding their much-awaited drama series.

In one of her interviews, the lead actress may have unknowingly divulged some plot twists when she said that her character will show something new.

“You know I have been playing Claire for over four and a half years now and it is interesting that the longer you spend time with a character that they can still surprise you,” Caitriona told Entertainment Tonight, via Express. She added, “That’s an important thing I think, without that, it would be… yeah, I don’t think I would be as excited to go to work every day as I am.”

Her words seem to hint that big changes involving her character are about to happen. The actress also shared that she loves the fact that the story has many twists and it makes her happy that “there is no normal day at work.”

The latest "Outlander" trailer teased a new level of danger for Claire and Jamie (Sam Heughan), following the couple’s risky move to the U.S. colonies.

For other spoilers in “Outlander” season 4, fans will see Jamie Fraser and his wife Claire being reunited and sailing off to the U.S. where they decide to settle in North Carolina. As a newly reunited couple, they will be in bliss as they set up their new home. They are in peace as no threat has come their way yet.

“Outlander” season 4 may also show Jamie reuniting with his daughter, Brianna. As per Variety, her character can time-travel too. What’s more, we may see Jamie and Claire becoming grandparents as the story progresses.

New Villain

It appears that everything is now going well for Jamie and Claire in the premiere episode of “Outlander” season 4. However, a stranger suddenly appears at their doorstep. A mysterious man known as Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers) landed in their area and he seems to have come with a warning from the future. Describing this new villain, producer Matt Roberts told The Hollywood Reporter, "Stephen Bonnet is a pure psychopath and a narcissist.”

Episodes

There will be 13 episodes in “Outlander” season 4. And the good news is Starz assured fans that seasons 5 and 6 will be on their way after the fourth installment. It means the network already renewed the show for new sequels. “Outlander” season 4 is coming this November.
