‘Outlander’ season 2 episode 8, entitled “The Fox’s Lair” will follow Claire and Jamie as they leave France and travel back to Jamie’s home in rural Scotland.
A synopsis for the incoming episode posted on Spoiler TV reads, “Claire and Jamie call upon Jamie’s grandsire, Lord Lovat, in an attempt to elicit support for the Jacobite cause. However, a visiting Colum MacKenzie has other plans, and Lord Lovat’s manipulative machinations ensure that no matter what, his own interests will be served.”
After Claire Beauchamp Randall (Caitriona Balfe) and James “Jamie” McKenzie Fraser’s (Sam Heughan) dreadful life in France unfolds – Claire having to sleep with the king to free Jamie from captivity as well as losing their daughter Faith – the next episode will find them journeying back to rural Scotland in attempts heal some wounds and get some help from Jamie’s scheming grandfather, who intends to get what he wants at all costs.
According to another article on Radio Times, numerous events will unfold as the two revisit familiar faces from the first season. Claire will meet a mysterious seer and more secrets about Jamie’s family history will be dug up. Colum MacKenzie (Gary Lewis) will apparently have his own plans to pursue as well.
