The mere popularity of the “One Punch Man” anime series is enough to give fans confidence that the anime series would continue to have a third installment despite the lack of confirmation from producers. However, that leaves fans with the next most important question: When will “One Punch Man” season 3 premiere?
'One Punch Man' season 3 release date: Next installment premieres after another long hiatus?
Whether or not a long hiatus is set before “One Punch Man” season 3 is released, fans might be delighted to learn that they can still get fresh anime contents at least for the next few months. As if preparing the fans again for another long wait for a new season, more OVAs are likely slated to be released.
The latest OVA, titled “Saitama and Those With Reasonable Abilities,” following season 2’s run, was released along with volume 1 last Friday. Before this home media copy even shipped, the brief teaser for the second OVA following season 2 is already confirmed titled “Middle-aged men and fishing.”
With the way things are going, it appears the producers were using the same strategy from 2016 when they released one new OVA in each volume of season 1’s Blu-ray/DVD copy. It might somehow help in making the looming hiatus before “One Punch Man” season 3 less dull.
Meanwhile, avid fans of the series should know by now that waiting for “One Punch Man” season 3 should require plenty of patience. Despite its relatively shorter run per season as only having 12 episodes each, there still was a long hiatus between each installment’s release dates.
Season 1 came out and concluded in 2015, but the second season was not officially announced until late 2016. Fans can use this as a reference in managing their expectations on when updates about “One Punch Man” season 3 would be released.
'One Punch Man' season 3 plot: What happens next to Saitama
The story arcs that will be covered in “One Punch Man” season 3 will allow fans to learn more about Monster Association and its members. Meanwhile, it should not take long before viewers see an encounter between Saitama and Garou.
However, the more intense and serious scenes in “One Punch Man” season 3 should be focused around Garou as the story builds up his complex character. Saitama, on the other hand, will continue to be present in the series’s comedic scenes, especially that time when he and other heroes took a hotpot dining session a little too seriously than needed.
