Fans who attended the "One Punch Man" Serious School Festival held last Aug. 12 were in for a treat during the event's evening performances. Fans were able to enjoy the “One Punch Man” merchandise during the day. “One Punch Man”-themed snacks also made waves at the festival, with Takoyaki that featured the face of the main protagonist of the series, Saitama.

The “One Punch Man" Serious School Festival put up an information ban on the “One Punch Man” anime during the day.

But for those fans who stayed until the evening performances, the wait was worth it as the “One Punch Man" Serious School Festival officially unveiled the “One Punch Man” season 2 teaser trailer and air date. Amidst all the excitement, it is clear to fans that the anticipated “One Punch Man” season 2 will officially air its premiere episode in April 2019.

It seems that Fans will be getting a “One Punch Man” season 2 much earlier than rumors had it. While the “One Punch Man" Serious School Festival did not premiere the second season's first episode, fans now have a concrete date when to expect Saitama to grace the broadcast channels.

The new “One Punch Man” season 2 trailer teases Garou's bloodthirsty rampage, showing how Saitama and Bang's former disciples may be similar in their goal to become stronger but differ in their reasons why.

Aside from the teaser trailer, “One Punch Man” also released new details on the series' official website that fans can enjoy during the season 2 wait. Japanese Anison band Jam Project will be handling season 2's opening theme song. Jam Project worked on the first season of “One Punch Man” as well as songs for “Super Robot Wars” and “Space Battleship Yamato 2199.”

The announcement also includes the series' first key visual illustrated by Hibiki Kubota. The visual showcases Saitama and his disciple, Genos ready for action with Garou looking sinister in the background.

Information on how many episodes the series will be getting in its second season has yet to be released.
