With an anticipated 12-episode run, “One Punch Man” season 2 is slated to conclude this week. This means that speculations about “One Punch Man” season 3 are starting to spread online. For one, the anime series is anticipated to return in 2020 after this week’s finale.

“One Punch Man” season 2 episode 12 is slated to air on Tuesday, July 2 that is shaping up to be an action-filled episode with Bang and Garou preparing to fight one another. This is going to be an interesting battle considering that Garou was once Bang’s best student. The hero hunter will be at a disadvantage in this fight, but Phoenix Man and Elder Centipede of the Monster Association will arrive to prevent the heroes from killing Garou. Saitama is expected to join in the latter part of the fight killing one of the strong villains saving the lives of Bang and company. This means that the war against Garou will extend to “One Punch Man” season 3.

There would be around 25 chapters left untouched by the anime series once “One Punch Man” season 2 ends this week. Monsters & Critics suggest that producers might want to wait a while before releasing “One Punch Man” season 3. This leads to the speculation that the anime series will return sometime in the middle of 2020.

Based on how the anime series is covering manga chapters, it is very likely that “One Punch Man” season 2 will end with a Hero Association meeting declaring Garou as a Dragon level threat while others are out to find the Monster Association headquarters. Meanwhile, the next time fans will be seeing Garou is possibly in “One Punch Man” season 3 when he wakes up inside the Monster Association’s hideout.

This also means that anime fans will get to see more of the Monster Association in “One Punch Man” season 3. Another main player in future anime episodes will be the mysterious being Gyoro Gyoro — the main villain in the Monster Association arc. It is important to note, however, that producers have yet to officially announce the production of “One Punch Man” season 3.
