“One Punch Man” Season 2 Episode 2 will be introducing the villain for this installment, none other than the human monster, Garou. A former disciple of Bang, Garou has been portrayed in the manga as someone obsessed with breaking his limits.
He isn’t necessarily a one-dimensional sort of bad guy. Instead, he has his own set of principles that he follows to the letter. While he is quite hostile towards heroes – whatever rank their rank is – he has shown compassion in the past and has even risked his life to save a child. It would be interesting to see how extensive “One Punch Man” Season 2 Episode 2 will cover Garou’s story.
At the moment, the antagonist is among those who answered the call of Sitch who is seeking the help of people lurking within the underground. The reason behind the large gathering is that the Hero Association has been stretching itself thin due to increasing incidents of monster attacks. As such, Sitch wants to bolster their ranks by recruiting powerful individuals regardless of their character. It’s for this reason that “One Punch Man” Season 2 Episode 2 might provide more plot setups rather portray heavy action sequences.
As for the reason behind the monster proliferation, Sitch believes that Shibabwa’s prophecy may have something to do with it. Garou has been one of the characters believed to herald this impending threat. While the prophecy dictates that Earth’s demise will be at the hands of a monster, Garou still fits the narrative considering that he became half a monster somewhere during the story. Regarding the animation of “One Punch Man” Season 2 Episode 2, it’s expected that it will mirror the quality of the premiere.
Fans have been apprehensive about the state of the second installment as the anime changed studio from Madhouse to J.C. Staff, Comicbook reported. And while the quality of the current entry is decent enough, it pales in comparison to what Madhouse achieved in the previous installment. Hopefully, the plot and story will make up for it. “One Punch Man” Season 2 Episode 2 is slated to air on April 16.
