With him literally being the strongest creature to exist in his universe, it would be pointless for Saitama to be a typical superhero because the story would become too boring. This is why he is often used as a means of concluding arcs and fights where the struggle of other characters is the source of the drama. It seems this will be cranked up to eleven in “One Punch Man” Season 2 with Saitama hardly appearing, at all.
For those who have yet to read the manga, “One Punch Man” Season 2 will be all about Garou and his role as a Hero Hunter. In a new trailer that was recently released, some of the major characters in the upcoming season were shown. However, it’s worth pointing out that much of the events in the episodes will likely center on other heroes, Genos, and Garou.
As for Saitama himself, he will be relegated to a fight-ending superweapon role even more than he was in the first season. So for those who might have wanted to see more of One Punch Man in “One Punch Man” Season 2, they might end up quite disappointed with what they get. Even so, it’s worth remembering that this is still “One Punch Man.”
The first season of the anime was widely praised for being just so awesome and it’s likely that “One Punch Man” Season 2 will not disappoint in this area, as well. There is much about the characters and the storylines that will be covered in the upcoming season that should be of interest to fans of the show.
The trailer also reveals that “One Punch Man” Season 2 will be coming back in April 2019. This is only a few months away and a lot of fans already can’t wait to watch it again.
