The events in “One Piece” episode 947 may hit close to home with a real-life pandemic happening globally and this being the point in the anime where another vile weapon created by the Beasts Pirates will be introduced. With Queen possibly leaving Udon for Onigashima, the person he puts in charge of the prison decides to sample his virus-infused bullets and aim for Luffy.

‘One Piece’ episode 947 spoilers, official preview

“One Piece” episode 947 is titled “Brutal Ammunition! The Plague Rounds Aim at Luffy!” hinting at the highlight event happening next in the Udon Prison. The official preview shows Luffy getting attacked by other prisoners. In the manga, this happened after Queen’s subordinate, Daifugo, orders them to swarm the Straw Hats captain.

Luffy also took the same interaction to reason with the prisoners and tried to get them on board with their plan of freeing Wano from Kaido and Orochi’s rule. However, the prisoners were hesitant at first arguing that they already tried to avenge Oden’s death 20 years ago but it only landed them in prison. It was also at this point in the manga where Daifugo started randomly firing at the prisoners with a bullet that does more than pierce the target’s body.

As shown in the “One Piece” episode 947 official preview, anyone hit with the “Plague Bullet” gets sick and finds their skin turning green because the bullets carry a virus infection. Queen’s creation is much worse than the coronavirus, though. Anyone who touches a person shot with the Plague Bullet will immediately get infected too, at least that was how the bullet was presented in the manga.

The title and the preview suggest these are going to be the highlights in “One Piece” episode 947, but anime fans should also expect different outcomes or different chronology of events. Since the anime is still too close to the manga, most of the Wano anime scenes have been prolonged. There have also been new twists in the anime like how Queen’s dive bomb attack did not make Big Mom sleep. In the manga, after Queen collided with Big Mom, the Yonko regained her memories but subsequently lost her consciousness. Queen then used this as a chance to tie up Big Mom with seastone chains and quickly load her on a ship bound for Onigashima and left Daifugo in charge of Udon.
