“One Piece” chapter 979 spoilers have already been circulating online since last week. Apparently, the early release was because of the Golden Week in Japan. Here are the main events to expect in the upcoming manga chapter.
Strawhats and Kidd Pirates start infiltrating Kaidos Mansion
Surprising as it may sound, the Strawhats and Kidd Pirates will successfully infiltrate Kaido’s mansion in “One Piece” chapter 979. Their success will be made possible by a number of factors working in their favor.
It appears that one factor is actually the traitor Kanjuro. He arrived at Onigashima ahead of the Strawhats but it was his first time on the island. Thus, he was a bit lost and probably did not meet Kaido to warn him of the presence of Luffy’s alliance and the remaining Red Scabbards.
Another factor is that everyone on the island seems to be busy due to the preparations for the festival. As previously reported by Econotimes, one of Kaido’s guards was particularly sharp and noticed the arrival of a large number of ships, which belonged to Luffy and the rest. However, the guard was immediately silenced by Ussop before he was able to sound the alarm.
Flying Six and Kaido’s son
“One Piece” chapter 979 will also reveal the identities of the members of the Flying Six. However, spoilers have already named them Black Maria, Sasaki, X Drake, Ulti, Page One, and Who’s Who.
Although still not totally confirmed at the moment, there’s also a good chance that Kaido’s son will make his first appearance in “One Piece” chapter 979. According to spoilers, his name is Yamato. It was also mentioned that Kaido will tell the Flying Six to fetch his son, which might suggest that the latter is not really that excited in attending the festivities.
Kaido presents Flying Six to Big Mom
As his new ally, Big Mom will be present at the festival. Kaido will arrange a set of challenges to show to Big Mom the strength of his subordinates.
The Flying Six members will be allowed to challenge the Calamities. Any member who will successfully defeat their opponent will be named the new Beast Pirates All-Star, according to Inquisitr.
Numbers of Onigashima
The Number of Onigashima will likely make their appearance in “One Piece” chapter 979 as well. In fact, they’ve prepared a gift to Kaido said to be something important. Perhaps, it’s Oda’s way of saying that whatever the gift might be, it will play an important role as events in the current arc unfold.
