‘One Piece’ chapter 976: Why the Kiado-Big Mom alliance is superior to Luffy’s group in one area
The “One Piece” chapter 976 release date was delayed for a bit as the team took a one-week break. While it’s a bit too early for spoilers for the upcoming manga installment, there are already plenty of exciting predictions and speculations doing their rounds online.
“One Piece” 976 will likely resolve the hostage situation Kanjuro has created. Denjiro will try to change Kanjuro’s allegiance and convince him to hand over Momonosuke.
“But the chapter will start with yet more opposition between the two undercover traitors Denjiro and Kanjuro,” Dolmande wrote on Reddit. “I really can't say if they will convince the latter to change his allegiance. Maybe that could constitute a leadership feat for Momo. That or Hiyori will launch a surprise flying kick to Kanjuro's head and free her brother.”
The Redditor also predicted that the raid will likely start in “One Piece” chapter 976. “Anyway I feel that the Odens backstory and traitors tropes are now nearing their very end,” Dolmande added. “The actual raid must begin soon for the story to keep its pace.”
Speaking of the raid on Onigashima, Luffy’s alliance is pretty strong and can deal with anyone below Kaido and Big Mom. “But in my opinion, the alliance is now really strong and has many powerful members (especially with the minks benefiting from the full moon) which can deal with everything including Yonko commanders that will be thrown at them,” the Redditor said.
However, Luffy’s alliance won’t be able to compete against Big Mom and Kaido’s in one area. That is, no one among them is truly a Yonko –level fighter. “The problem is that they have no one that is truly Yonko level and yet they have to face two of them,” Dolmande wrote.
Luffy will have to resort to teaming up with either Law or Kidd to fight against one Yonko. “Yes, I think Luffy is many times more powerful now than when he faced Kaido for the first time, but I don't think he can yet take out any of the Yonko head-n without any assistance,” the Redditor said. “I think he could deal with one of them while teaming up with another captain from the worst generation like they did in Dressrosa against Doflamingo, and I am sure he will at least take out one of the two.”
While Luffy might be stronger now, he will definitely be unable to face the two Yonkos simultaneously. “The solution is: either infighting errupts between the Yonko crews, or another Yonko appears, and upsets the whole situation. A Yonko or an Admiral, for that matter,” the Redditor added.
