“One Piece” Episode 890 will finally be starting the Wano Country arc, one of the most popular plots in the series. Unfortunately, it looks like more flashbacks will be employed during its run, particularly to the demise of Whitebeard.
This is due to the fact that Marco Phoenix will be featured in “One Piece” Episode 890 judging by how the arc opened up in the manga. Following the fall of the Whitebeard Pirates, Marco became a village doctor who sees to the needs of the poor.
He’ll reveal that his decision is firmly rooted in Whitebeard’s previous actions of supporting the place. Marco will also become quite emotional in “One Piece” Episode 890 as he recalls memories of his beloved captain.
After that sequence, the anime will transition to the Straw Hats Pirates and their effort of disguising themselves within Wano. Franky will become a carpenter, Usopp will be a toad oil salesman, Robin will be a geisha, and Zoro will be a Ronin. Zoro’s disguise will be the most intriguing on account that he’ll end up killing someone again after figuring out who’s behind a recent murder. Armed only with a seppuku blade, the swordsman will be taking care of the criminal with a single strike. Meanwhile, “One Piece” Episode 890 might also be revealing the location of Luffy and the rest of the gang.
Although Franky, Usopp, Robin, and Zoro are already inside Wano, the rest of their comrades will be seen sailing towards the unallied territory. Of course, audiences shouldn’t expect a lot of sequences involving Luffy in “One Piece” Episode 890 given that the anime will be covering another potential flashback.
These retellings have been one of the major reasons why fans are irked at Toei Animation as it’s been slow to adopt the manga. Hopefully, the studio goes full throttle with the upcoming Wano Arc, especially since there will be major events that will be taking place throughout its run. With regards to the release date of “One Piece” Episode 890, it’s scheduled to drop on June 23.
