Many of the episodes in the Cake Island arc of “One Piece” can’t exactly be considered of high quality, but merely passable. However, “One Piece” Episode 870 is almost guaranteed to be the very best of the current arc yet. In fact, with the amount of effort that went into making this episode, it might just be the best episode of the entire anime’s run.
There is a lot for fans to look forward to in “One Piece” Episode 870, the most obvious of which is the quality of the animation of the fight scenes. As OtakuKart reports, the staff that worked on it are among the very best and it took them about two months to actually produce it. This means that not only were talented people involved, an appropriate amount of time was also invested in the episode.
For an idea of what they can expect, the clip below shows off just a small taste of the exciting scenes to come. In terms of how the action is directed alone, it’s already quite clear that the studio really put a lot of resources in “One Piece” Episode 870. What’s more, it’s also obvious that the fight scene is going to be more epic than any other in the series.
As to what fans can actually expect from “One Piece” Episode 870, Luffy has finally been able to grasp the ability to see the future with his own haki. This alone makes him a match for Katakuri. However, the Straw Hat captain also uses another ability by transforming into “Snakeman.” This is basically where he is able to use his extendable limbs to move as he pleases to the length that he wants.
Katakuri will then have a difficult time dealing with such versatile attacks, but he won’t just allow himself to be defeated. For the most exciting episode yet, watch “One Piece” Episode 870 on Jan. 28.
