‘Once Upon A Time’ season 6’s episode 16, titled “Mother’s Little Helper,” will follow Emma as she is forced to join Gideon in defeating the evil Black Fairy.
The synopsis for “Mother’s Little Helper” posted on TV Guide reads, “Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) convince Emma (Jennifer Morrison) to help Gideon (guest star Giles Matthey) stop the Black Fairy (guest star Jaime Murray).
Meanwhile, Henry's (Jared S. Gilmore) powers go haywire, so Regina (Lana Parrilla) turns to the previous Author (guest star Patrick Fischler); Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) bets a prized possession on a game of cards; and in a flashback, the Black Fairy tortures young Gideon.”
It seems that the upcoming episode will feature two enemies come together as allies to stop a common adversary. Gold and Belle’s prodding may force Emma and Gideon to put their differences aside in order to defeat the evil Black Fairy.
According to Comicbook Movie, Emma was forced to strike a bargain with Gideon. The deal was for Emma to help Gideon defeat the Black Fairy in exchange for Hook’s return. The Black Fairy will be seen torturing a young Gideon with the aim of turning him into a perfect apprentice in a flashback sequence.
Meanwhile, in Fairy Tale Land, Hook will attempt to win the help of an old foe by betting one of his most valuable possessions in a game of cards in the upcoming episode.
Henry will also be experiencing setbacks of his own when he experiences some trouble with his powers. This will force Regina to seek counsel from the previous Author.
‘Once Upon A Time’ season 6’s episode 16, titled “Mother’s Little Helper,” is scheduled to air on ABC on April 9, 2017. It was directed by Billy Gierhart with a story by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and teleplay by Paul Karp. It will be followed by episode 17, titled “Awake,” scheduled to be released on April 16.
