Video game ratings from various regulatory boards around the world are some of the common sources of information leaks about upcoming titles. This appears to be the case for four to-be-released games on the Nintendo Switch console, including Telltale Games’ “Tales from the Borderlands.”
Nintendo Switch players can expect these 4 titles soon
A list of video games was recently rated by the Taiwan Digital Gaming Rating Committee (via Gematsu), and four of them were labeled for the Switch platform. One of the most recognizable titles in the list is the episodic graphic adventure from Telltale, “Tale from the Borderlands.”
It is part of the “Borderlands” franchise, as the title suggests. However, the five-episode game focuses more on the narrative of its two playable characters, Rhys and Fiona. While it offers different gameplay than the main video game series, “Tale from the Borderlands” stays true to the core of the “Borderlands” series as it mainly features a loot system.
Here's something that went unnoticed: PEGI rated Tales from the @Borderlands for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC back in December. @2K @GearboxOfficial @telltalegames what're ya waiting for? pic.twitter.com/AUhVj5vTxh

Last month, Gematsu also spotted “Tale from the Borderlands” receiving a rating from Pan European Game Information (PEGI) back in December for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. However, Telltale has yet to announce the release of these versions officially. Since it launched in 2014, the game was made available on PS3, PS4, Mac OS X, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Android, and iOS.
Meanwhile, “The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles” appeared on the list three times, suggesting it would be released on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation Network. The title is a bundle of the English versions of “The Adventure of Ryūnosuke Naruhodō” and its sequel “The Resolve of Ryūnosuke Naruhodō” that were both previously released by Capcom on Nintendo 3DS, Android, and iOS.
“Hello Neighbor’s” multiplayer spin-off “Secret Neighbor” was also rated for a Nintendo Switch along with the off-roading simulation game “SnowRunner.” Like the first two titles, these games have also not been officially announced to launch on the Switch console as of this writing.
Nintendo Switch continues to top console sales after 3+ years
It is not surprising that more developers want to port their games to Nintendo Switch. The console has been in the market for close to four years now, but it continues to be a hot commodity in the video game industry.
Analyst Mat Piscatella of the market research firm NPD Group reported that Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console last January. “Unit sales of Nintendo Switch were the highest of any platform in a January month since the Nintendo Wii in January 2010,” he added. According to Nintendo, 79.87 million units of Switch have been sold as of last Dec. 31.
