“Carolyn’s extensive experience in integrating workforces, culture building and nurse recruitment is exactly what Corizon needs as we embark on a new chapter in our company’s history,” Rector said. “I am thrilled with the insights and ideas she is bringing to this position and look forward to her contribution to our organization.”
Corizon, which is under new ownership and a new board of directors following a 2017 recapitalization, recently announced it would consolidate its corporate offices into one Brentwood location in May.
“Corizon has a tremendous opportunity to redefine the standard of excellence for correctional healthcare and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of it,” Schneider said. “It starts with building a solid, cohesive team and cultivating the strongest clinical recruiting and retention program in the industry.”
Schneider has more than 25 years’ experience in human resources. She most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources for Nashville-based RCCH Health Partners, which was formed 18 months ago by a merger between Capella Healthcare and Regional Healthcare Partners. Prior to RCCH Health Partners, she was SVP, Human Resources for Capella Healthcare.
Her talent management work has been featured in Computer World, PC Week, and Plants, Parks and Sites. She was named a 2011 “Woman of Influence” by the Nashville Business Journal and holds an MBA from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Business.
